Men's Lacrosse now 0-3 after 13-2 loss to Division II St. Anselm
Winter scores twice to increase season total to 7 goals, Dolphins outscored 10-1 during first half
3/10/2006 - (Greensboro, NC) - Junior Bryan Winter (Islip, NY/Islip HS) scored his sixth and seventh goals of his 2006 campaign, and the Dolphin defense allowed only three second half goals, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Lacrosse team lost their third straight game to open the season, 13-2 to Division II St. Anselm College on Friday during a game played in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Dolphins had several chances to pull ahead early, but a stingy St. Anselm defensive effort allowed them to open up a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. The Hawks then exploded for six unanswered goals during the second quarter to extend the advantage to 10-1 at halftime. Mount Saint Vincent's defense, led by another outstanding effort by sophomore goalie Tom Egan (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet HS), tightened during the final 30 minutes, but the Dolphin's never got on track offensively, and the Mount was outscored 3-1 during the final 30 minutes.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Monday, March 13 when they face Greensboro College at 3:30 p.m. during the final game of their trip to North Carolina.
