Counseling Center
The Counseling Center serves students experiencing personal, family or social difficulties that are interfering with their ability to succeed. Services are free of charge, and include crisis intervention, short-term individual and group counseling, and assistance with referrals to outside mental health clinics and/or therapists. In addition, the services of a consulting psychiatrist affiliated with St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers are available to students if necessary.
The Center is not intended to take the place of a community mental health clinic or personal therapist. The Center is open weekdays during the academic year from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and evenings by appointment.
