Message from the director: The Center for Academic Excellence (Administration Room 308C) was created to help all Mount Saint Vincent Students reach academic achievement by giving them the tools and skills needed for success. The Center provides FREE tutorial assistance in academic areas where you may be struggling, or courses where you need that extra bit of help to elevate your grade from mediocre to good, or even excellent.

We can provide a tutor for you in virtually any academic discipline, from the Humanities (especially writing) to the Sciences to Foreign Languages and more. Many of your courses will be “Writing Intensive” and you may find that the extra help is necessary for you to do well in your essay assignments. We will make every effort to arrange for regular tutoring around your class schedule. Best of all, this is a FREE service!

As you get acclimated to your new classes, you will get a better idea of the courses in which you may need extra help. One of your professors may even direct you to the Center with the hope that our assistance will increase the likelihood of your success in his or her class.
