Senior Andrea DiNizo was named to both the Skyline Conference and PrestoSports/MBWA Honor Rolls this week after averaging 19.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game during last weekend's HVWAC playoffs. |
The awards mark the third time this season she has been named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll and second time she was honored by PrestoSports and the MBWA.
DiNizo’s week began on Saturday when she scored 18 points on 6 for 11 shooting as the Mount outscored Saint Elizabeth 52-29 during the second half of play en route to an 89-54 win. The next day, she scored a team-high 21 points, including a 10 for 10 effort from the free throw line, but the Dolphins were unable to overcome a late rally by St. Joseph’s, falling 71-59.
After Monday’s loss to Centenary College during a Skyline Conference play-in game, DiNizo’s season and career came to a close. The senior averaged a team-leading 13.3 points per game this season, an effort good for sixth in the Skyline Conference. She also finished second on the team with 44 steals, and third on the team with 63 assists.
For her career, DiNizo scored 1,239 points, making her one of the all-time leading scorers in Mount Saint Vincent history.
