2/4/2006 - (Bronx, NY) – Freshman Jillian Stark (Brooklyn, NY) captured two first place finishes, and the Dolphins won four events overall, but the effort fell short as the Mount Saint Vincent Swimming team opened the 2006 portion of their schedule with a 69-48 loss to Maritime during a match at Maritime College. With the loss, the Dolphins drop to 4-3 this season with three meets remaining.

Stark enjoyed her finest outing of the season by winning the 100-yard backstroke (1:23.17), and she was also a member of the victorious 200-yard freestyle relay team (2:23.84) along with Elizabeth Clark (Silver Spring, MD/St. John’s), Marie Garcia (Medford, MA/Medford HS), and Megan Clark (Silver Spring, MD/St. John’s). The Dolphins actually took the top two spots in the latter event with the team of Nora Wylie (West Babylon, NY), Laura Delargy (Lynbrook, NY), Angela Hernandez (Brooklyn, NY) and Megan Rohan (New Rochelle, NY) finishing in 2:37.54.
