Freshman Tim Biolsi scored a career-high 17 points during his first collegiate start, but the Mount Saint Vincent Men's Basketball team lost its second consecutive game, 76-59 to Stevens on Monday night.

During a sloppy game in which neither team scored a point until more than three minutes of play transpired, Mount Saint Vincent battled back from an 11 point deficit with 2:32 remaining in the first half to trail 34-27 at halftime. After trimming the Stevens lead to 35-29 with 18:39 remaining in the game, the Ducks (8-5, 3-1 Skyline Conference) went on a 12-0 run during a three-minute span to blow the game open. The Mount trailed by as many as 23 points during the second half, but battled back to bring the deficit down to 18 points by the game’s end.

Biolsi, making his first career start, had a terrific game, making both of Mount Saint Vincent’s three-point shots, and finishing 7 for 7 at the free throw line. He also finished with seven rebounds and a team-high three assists. Charlton – who scored in double digits for the fifth time this season – pulled down a team and career-high 10 rebounds, and was also 4 for 4 from the charity stripe. The Dolphins shot a season-best 92% from the free throw line.

The Mount shot a respectable 37% from the floor and committed the same number of turnovers as Stevens (20), but struggled on the boards as they were outrebounded 51-31.

Mount Saint Vincent returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 19 when they travel to FDU-Florham for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference game.
