Mount Saint Vincent sophomore Amanda Nadhir was named First Team All-Conference and Rookie of the Year by the Skyline Conference after an incredible first season of college tennis. At first singles, Nadhir finished 13-1 and was the HVWAC first singles champion, along with her most recent honors. |
At first singles, Nadhir finished the 2005 season with a 13-1 record, falling only to Skyline Conference Player of the Year, Dana Bacalla from the Stevens Institute of Technology. Otherwise, Nadhir did not drop a single set during a sweep of both the Skyline Conference an d Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC).
Nadhir’s accolades were numerous as she was
named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week three times,
HVWAC Player of the Week once, HVWAC All-Conference, and
won the first singles championship during the HVWAC
playoffs on Oct. 29.
The Mount Saint Vincent Women's Tennis team finished
the 2005 season with a 5-7 record after not competing
during the 2004 season. With Nadhir returning, and only
one graduating senior on the roster, the Mount is
expected to be much improved for the 2006 season.
